A man who truly cares about quality over quantity, Warhol takes his craft to the next level.  This visual experience successfully supplements the song by flashing eccentric details and branding them into your mind, while keeping the overall look clean and sharp.  Everything in this video is intentional; the fashion, venue, clips, photos, colors, sounds -- it's like a box of perfectly handpicked chocolates from across the world with different centers, all complimenting one another to create a delicate, rich, and flawless experience.

Cover me with music.

Oh Grey's you've done it again.

If you know me, you know that I am one of the most loyal Grey's Anatomy fans in the world.  I have followed this series since I was a pre-teen, all the way up to the latest episode which aired 03/06/14.  And although I could go into the details of this season-changing episode, I will refrain and get straight to the point of this blog post;  

THE MUSIC.

Grey's Anatomy is famous for picking up cover bands and less-known musical geniuses and making them huge via their show.

Remember Ingrid Michaelson's The Chain and The Weepies World Spins Madly On?*

The show also immortalized Keane's Somewhere Only We Know and Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars by using them as exceptionally placed soundtracks within a riveting story-line.  We all know that once you tie an emotion to a song, the song will never be the same again...

We've seen countless success stories emerge from this show, and the latest episode delivers some more. These are brand new songs from rising artists, so we're going to have to overlook the pathetic and painfully unartistic videos.

Okay.  So I usually don't post "cute" videos and "fad" youtube clips onto this blog.

But this video is an exception, due to the fact that I have pressed the replay button probably 89 times in the last two weeks.

This blog has become a treasure chest of things that I find beautiful, and this deserves to be on here.  God bless this 親子.

I promised to closely follow Chancellor Warhol after seeing him at Lollapalooza 2012 and I kept my word.  He is creative, fun and swag.  What more could you ask for?

Oh yes, he is super attractive as well...

Listen carefully to his imaginative lyrics whilst blasting his beats loud in your room.
Then read his mini-interview with red bull sound select (below) and try to tell me you don't love him.  The only thing I need now is a personal invitation to his show when he comes to L.A. next.

I think this new album will be his best yet.
Already sounds fresher and slightly stronger than the rest.

It was within a year.   I wrote it this year.  I actually wrote it after meeting a Kennedy.

How did that come about?

A friend of a friend.

Can you tell us which Kennedy?

I cannot but it was definitely a Kennedy.

What does one order when they have lunch with a  Kennedy?

The Great Gatsby

Finally was able to watch this marvelous film.
That's right -- I LOVED IT.

I was super skeptical since I absolutely hated the Romeo + Juliet (1996) film and I was dreading that this classic book would also be ruined with the touch of the modern devil's trident.

Fortunately the film was completed with superb taste, class and just enough flair.

The way the eye was drawn in through the movement of the camera (Moulin Rouge! anyone?) and the sparkle and glitz of it all WITHOUT losing the classiness of the story.

And the music.
Same idea but backwards.  Taking modern songs and twisting them to fit the 1920s flappers era.
Bought the Deluxe Edition as soon as I got home.

I am just so so happy!
I must say though, I don't know if I will like
watching it on my computer screen.. I think the
large theater allowed the film to come alive and
I don't know if that can translate on a smaller screen.

But I must say, Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan were phenomenal along with Elizabeth Debicki (who is she!?), Isla Fisher (small role but lasting impression), Tobey Maguire (will always be spiderman to me...), and Joel Edgerton.

I have spent quite some time researching this mystery guitarist 

and finally came across his "mini-bio" on his website.  

Estas Tonne is a charismatic modern day Troubadour spreading an inspirational message of the new consciousness and paradigm while playing all over the world, delighting audiences from Americas to India, from the Middle East to Europe. He is known for his unique and remarkable guitar style by touching listeners deeply, especially those who witness the intensity of his music live in concert.  

Unfortunately I still have no idea who he is, where he came from, or where he is now.

I know that he travels a lot, is spiritual, and his music is free on his website.

Most of his videos are him on the streets of God-only-knows-where.

I need to meet him.

I watched this movie last night and was blown away. 
The actors did a brilliant job portraying multiple characters in different roles.
The special effects were phenomenal.
It left me with a filled but heavy heart.

I definitely recommend it.    

Fall Break 2012

For this year's fall break the girls and I will finally be hitting up the infamous city of Nevada.

Excited?     Yes.

Nervous?      Yes.

Sick?      Yes.....  :(

But I will fight through my cold and make the most of it.

Enjoy "Life of the Party" as a shining example of what will be running through my head as I walk through every bar/casino/club in vegas.

Street Corner Jams

Zaz is a French singer who released her first album in 2010 and immediately became a star.

I'm a little obsessed with her quirky voice.

She has a casual swag about her -- which is displayed in this video perfectly.

Casually singing on a street corner with two musicians, she owns her song as if she's just telling a story.

One of the few albums I've bought as a whole.

I encourage you to do the same.

Striking high on my top performances from Lollapalooza 2012,  Chancellor Warhol was a serious delight.  Not only was he super damn cute, but he was an AMAZING performer.

Low-key, he performed at the BMI stage which was a little out of the way. A much smaller venue than the rest, but that just made it even better for us.  I was literally up against the rail staring at him.

Can't wait to follow him as he shoots up in the music industry.
