Street Corner Jams

Zaz is a French singer who released her first album in 2010 and immediately became a star.
I'm a little obsessed with her quirky voice.

She has a casual swag about her -- which is displayed in this video perfectly.
Casually singing on a street corner with two musicians, she owns her song as if she's just telling a story.

One of the few albums I've bought as a whole.

I encourage you to do the same.

Lights, Camera, Action

Solve Sundsbo strikes again with amazing light patterns.
We know Mr. Sundsbo from Mixed Media, Face!, and Serene Shivers down your Spine.
Amazing use of shadows and COLORS in his shadows.
The intricate patterns weave in and out of the curves of the women -- making it even sexier.

Pop art come to life?

Dancing on fire.

Another video that I've known for quite a while but never posted...
The most exquisite rendition of this dance piece.

Dancers - Ben Susak & Pam Chu
Concept - Wade Robson & Amanda Robson
Choreography - Wade Robson
Director and editor - Wade Robson.
Choreographer assistant - Dana WIlson
Music - John Mayer/Slow dancing in a burning room

"Before Wade Robson set this piece on Josh & Katee for SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, he created the original version on his beautiful dancers from his Cirque Du Soleil/Criss Angel BELIEVE show. He then decided to shoot a short film of two of his dancers that really connected with the piece, Ben Susak & Pam Chu. This was Josh and Katee's inspirational guide. Enjoy."

Metallics

THIS COMING AUTUMN....
Liquid Metallics.

Be sparkly and stand out with shine without being too over-the-top.
These slightly muted tones really put a bang to an outfit without over-powering the wearer.
Shimmery but sexy.

Pair it with dark colors or even whites.

Add some shine to the coldness.

Think outside the box!

Tip your shoes,
paint your nails,
patch your clothes.

Do it all....

Not to be mistaken with sparkly sequins!!

Blast of white.

Ukrainian photographer Anton Surkov is quite elusive,
I couldn't find much background information on him.

All I know is this:
This guy rocks my socks.

The most brilliant mix of dance and photography without it being dance photography.
He manipulates the model's bodies to fit his needs, but doesn't force the shoot to seem choreographed.
The power, the powder (haha get my pun) and the emotions are all so RAW.
