At first it looks like photoshopped magic, until you realize that the stars are real. All these photos by Gabriela Camerotti are done by intertwining photos of the galaxy with shots on earth. To me, the stars also look like dust -- making the photos seem vintage and precious. I love it.

La belle endormie
La belle endormie
The Sleeping Beauty (2010) A young princess is the subject of a tug-of-war among witches, as each struggles to find the suitable antidote to a death sentence inculcated by an evil sister.
Director: Catherine Breillat
Writers: Catherine Breillat (screenplay), Charles Perrault (story)
Stars: Carla Besnaïnou, Julia Artamonov and Kerian Mayan
This looks like a quirky version of Sleeping Beauty - a Disney classic. I can't wait to watch it! The entire movie looks so beautiful, but it also seems kind of dark.
Catharine Breillat is a Director to look out for!! Check her out on IMDB.

Life in a Day
"What happens when you send a request out to the world to chronicle, via video, a single day on Earth? You get 80,000 submissions and 4,500 hours of footage from 192 countries.
Producer Ridley Scott and Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald took this raw material
— all shot on July 24, 2010 —
and created Life in a Day, a groundbreaking, feature-length documentary that portrays this kaleidoscope of images we call life.
National Geographic is bringing it to theaters starting July 24, 2011.
Prepare to be amazed"
I remember seeing the advertisements for the video submission on youtube last year-- I can't believe it's already been a year! This looks like an amazing film, I don't know how they were able to look through all the different videos and choose the specific clips to be in the movie... A true piece of art only achieved through hard work, persistence, and genius.
